My friend Angie sent me this email from her friend who lives in California. Jain sent pictures of this raccoon that comes to her back door every night waiting to be fed.

When Rocco came over for a little snack tonight, I told him to go wash
his hands in his water bowl before he ate. I’m sure it was a
coincidence, but he immediately went over to his bowl, washed his hands,
and ran back over by us for some grapes.

He stands on his back legs and waves his paw at us like, “come on, throw
the food”.

Just thought I would share! How wonderful!

Ringer Fan

Amanda emailed me a scan of the painting she received from an 11-year old Ringer fan. It put a smile on my face, I had to share it with everyone!

For those of you who don’t know who Ringer is, he’s a very special raccoon who came to Amanda as an infant. He had been badly abused by some children, they had poked at his eyes and as a result he was blinded. Luckily, an adult discovered what was going on before it was too late and brought him to Amanda. Amanda nursed him back to health, although he remains blind to this day and will never be able to return to the wild. Despite what he went through, Ringer is a sweet and gentle soul and loved by all who meet him!
